Programs of Study

Here at Delta Martial Arts Academy our programs of study have been designed to provide benefit to all age groups. Whether you are looking for an activity to focus your child's energy or you are looking for a fitness program for yourself, we have what you are looking for at Delta Martial Arts Academy. Below is a brief summary of each of our current programs. Dragons - this class is designed for children ages 5 to 6 years old. The curriculum for this program is designed to keep younger children's attention while teaching basic kicks, punches and throws. This program also stresses focus, discipline, respect and perseverance.Currently this class meets one day a week on Wednesday afternoons and prepares the student for future martial arts training.

 

Juniors- this class is designed for children ages 7 to 12 years old. The curriculum for this program strives to teach the basic punches, kicks and throws of Han Mu Do, while also instilling character traits such as: courage, respect, discipline, self confidence, and perseverance. Instructors at Delta Martial Arts Academy work with students' families and teachers to ensure that the techniques and values taught in the martial arts dojang (school) are carried home and implemented into their daily lives.

 

Teens/Adults - this class is designed for teens and adults from ages 13 to 100 years old. The curriculum for this age group is the full curriculum of Han Mu Do, as established by the World Han Mu Do Association. Students learn all of the Han Mu Do techniques, including more advanced joint locking techniques, kicking techniques, punching techniques, and throwing techniques. This course focuses on improving the student's self-discipline and fitness while having fun.
